About Us

Surman Building & Carpentry PTY LTD is a family business that has been formally running since July 2000 with Gary Surman as Business Director and Kim Surman as Business Secretary. Gary began work as a builder in 1992 and has building ever since. Over the last 15 years, Surman Building & Carpentry has taken up many apprentices with one of our recent apprentices Josh Slater winning the 2013 National Carpenter of the Year award for NSW/ACT. As of 2012, Surman Building & Carpentry is now based in Kiama however work is still being undertaken by us in some Northern Areas of Sydney like Putney.
